Hardhits was founded by Jeff Mayhugh and his best friend from high school in 2005. The business has endured for 20 years through market shifts and pandemics. In 2025, Hardhits has reinvented itself, shifting from contract printing to a community-focused business model. This is the vision of new owner Vanessa Mayhugh. Jeff has leveraged his 20 years of experience to evaluate what works and what doesn’t. Hardhits has carved a new path.
The lesson is that business thrives when the customer is well served. Technology has changed how the customer is served in the last twenty years, so Hardhits has adapted with new technologies to better connect with our customers. Hardhits offers a variety of ways to assist our clients: online ordering, quotes, and design services, in-person customer support, local production, and a showroom. No matter what type of shopper you are, Hardhits will be there to assist you.
Jeff and Vanessa met in 2011, subsequently blending their two families and marrying in 2014. They challenge and support each other as they navigate through life. In 2023, Vanessa took the leap, quit her IT job, and joined Jeff in the business full-time.
Now nearing forty, with five children, Jeff and Vanessa are eager not only to serve the local community that has given them so much but also to create a space where families and businesses can thrive. Hardhits is a place where a mother and son can sit together to select their next jersey, a place where a father and daughter can decide on a nickname to put on the back of their hoodies. It’s a place where a young entrepreneur can order new uniforms for their business.
